Extra shooty CSM at International Team Tournament
No proper blog post this time - its been a long weekend and with several posts recently don't want to burn myself out plus took no photo's on day 2 of event (had something like 3 hours of sleep so all my concentration was on playing the 40k.)
List - wanted something fast and shooty to try and push big scores given we had some good defender picks alreadys.

Game 1 v Space Wolf Jail - Went second and put in jail. Struggled to do much damage in my turn 1 and thought I was going to get overwhelemed. However whilst pinned in the Possessed stopped disaster and whilst I went behind I was able to just about hold the line. Eventually a big play from a Legionaire unit on the right outside the jail managed to take SW home objective and I stole a win at the death 12-8. Team however lost the round.
Game 2 v Hyperthick Necrons - Went first, shot C'tan it surivived well enough and regenerated 3 wounds. Turn 2 shot two C'tan with everything, they survived well enough, both regenerated 3 wounds. Necrons took control of primary, picked off CSM whilst I failed to scrapped to kill C'tan as they kept regenerating. 5-15 loss, team almost won the won but ended up with a draw in our favour.
Game 3 v Big Daemons - Went first, got some early primary with most of Daemons in reserve. Hadn't played well up till now, did first good thing of retreat back in my turn two whilst up on scoreboard before Daemon's go turn. They came in hard, but Possessed and tanks took out two big Daemons in a turn to win the game. Nurgle Daemons proved hard to shift and Daemons kept scoring well ended up 13-7 win which was annoying to not push more on differential, but won the round comfortably anyway as a team.
Game 4 v Ad Mech - Super cool converted Skaven/Ad Mech hyprid army. Lots of big punchy robots on Ad mech side. Cautious turn 1, Cypher on middle objective and one of the big bricks went to take him out and fail. Threw everything forward, killed some big robots. Huge brawl next turn but CSM getting first punch in was big and Ad Mech couldn't kill enough so when CSM's next wave crashed in took big win 20-0, team won.
Game 5 v Knights - Super Cautious game from both of us scared of each others big guns. CSM lost something like 5 Legionaires and most of a Possessed squad (tanks took lots of damage but didn't die) whilst Knights lost something like 4 Armigers. CSM basiclly kept scrapping away on points, chipping ahead on secondaries and stopping Knights getting on objectives in the open to ensure they slowly racked up a lead in a 'death by thousand cuts' type of game. 17 - 3 win.
Didn't like the list, its good but too shooty for me and was only when Possessed started putting in work in games 3 onwards it clicked for me.
